Hi, I'm Yaz.

Photographer based in Richmond, BC. I shoot sports, families, events, and conferences, write about amateur sports, and build the tools I needed but couldn't find anywhere else.

I started on a mountain.

Before I shot soccer and families, I shot snowboarders. Spent years chasing riders through BC back-country and parks, which is where I learned to actually photograph action, reading light, anticipating movement, timing the shutter.

I moved to grass eventually. Same skills, warmer weather.

Dad first.

I picked up a camera for sports because I wanted decent photos of my boys playing. Other parents started asking. It grew from there.
